What is the ASA Job Bank and how does it work?

The Job Bank is ASA's electronic one-stop shop for job candidates seeking employment or fellowships in sociology and for employers interested in posting job openings and reviewing candidate resumes. It is fully searchable by field of interest, name of employer/candidate, keyword, position, salary, and most recent postings.

How do I use this service?

JOB CANDIDATES:

Active ASA members may view jobs and post their resumes. This service is free exclusively to ASA members. Go to the ASA Job Bank and log in.

Non-members may subscribe to the Job Bank for a fee of $19.95 per 30 days. Subscribe to the Job Bank as a non-member.

EMPLOYERS/JOB ADVERTISERS:

Fees:
Employers pay $220 per listing per 30-day increment; $176 each additional 30-day increment. Listings are placed online in increments of 30 days per listing; multiple 30-day increments can be purchased. Employers with active listings can search candidate resumes.

Payment Options:
Employers have two payment options:
1. Pay online with a credit card, or
2. Print an invoice to mail in with your payment (check or credit card).

We do not accept purchase orders for Job Bank listings. The ad appears online as soon as payment is processed (usually 1 to 2 days after receiving payment). Go to the Job Bank as an employer/advertiser, if you already have a login name and password.

Department Affiliate Discount:
ASA Department Affiliates may post job listings at a 10% discount. Go to Job Bank using your login name and password to enter the Job Bank as a Department Affiliate advertiser.

Non-Department Affiliates:
Advertisers with no log in name and password may go here to create a username and password to access the ASA Job Bank.
